Playing golf runs in her family, so naturally Kenney started playing, too. She works hard everyday to reach her goals for the future. To learn more about her, Lancer Link asked her a few questions.
Lancer Link: How did you get into golf?
Meghan Kenney: My dad played golf and he got me into it. My whole family golfs.
LL: What sacrifices have you made for golf?
MK: Last year I wanted to do Encore, but I couldn’t because I wanted to practice more and get better at golf.
LL: Why do you enjoy golfing?
MK: It’s really peaceful. A lot of other sports are really fast, but in this sport you get to talk to people and enjoy the scenery.
LL: What motivates you to continue golfing?
MK: I really want to play in college and LPGA if I’m good enough.
LL: What advice do you have for younger players?
MK: Keep practicing. I recommend taking lessons because it really does help.
