Legoland Hotel fun at its finest

Have you ever wanted to spend the night at your favorite amusement park? Hide in the line of your favorite ride? Surely no one would notice you behind a giant hedge or a lego crafted skyscraper. We’ve all plotted ways to make the make the magic continue. With the opening of the new Legoland hotel, these dreams are finally possible.

For the past few years, Legoland has invested much in the expansion of their industry. What started out as just an amusement park now includes a water park, an aquarium, and most recently a hotel which celebrated its grand opening on April 5.

Senior Stephanie Stark experienced the early excitment working in the park as the hotel prepared to open.

“I am frequently asked when the hotel will be open. People have been anticipating this a lot,” Stark said.

Employees have made sure the Lego fun doesn’t extend merely to the park. The hotel includes entertainment for kids including multiple play areas, pool and Lego themed dining at The Skyline Cafe and Bricks Family Restaurant.

The adventure continues with pirate, adventure and  kingdom themed rooms. The opportunity for fun is implemented even in the mostly unlikely places such as the elevators.

“There is a disco ball, lights and they play music. It’s like a party,” Stark said.

There is no need to battle the kids to convince them to leave the park when the time comes because the fun continues at the hotel. Over 3 million Legos have been used throughout the hotel to ensure this.

“The kids are never bored. There are play areas with giant piles of Legos to keep them entertained,” Stark said.

The Legoland Hotel located inside the Legoland California Resort is directly next to the Legoland Amusement park on The Crossings Drive, making access to the park very easy. Parkgoers also get special privileges as hotel guests including, early entrance into the park, and entries into select rides.

It’s clear Legoland’s new promotion is sure to be a hit and is just one more great feature that is now incorperated into the Carlsbad lifestyle.

“Guests are telling me how the hotel is already mostly booked for April and May. It’s important to book now for summer because spots are already filling up,” Stark said.
