It would be a challenge to find a teenager involved in more extra curricular activities than senior Camille Posard.

Along with being captain of the varsity dance team, Posard is a producer for CHSTV, a member of ASB and an officer of the school’s Stand Up For Kids Club.  Along with having a course load filled with AP classes, she takes a class at Mira Costa College two nights a week.

“It’s hard balancing all of my activities, and the biggest struggle has been time management,” Posard said.  “It’s difficult to find time just to be a teenager, but I still enjoy every second of my hectic life.”

Recently, CHSTV spotlighted an organization founded by Posard and her sister, Gabri, called Donate Don’t Dump.  The organization’s goal has been to spread awareness regarding hunger and the unnecessary waste of perfectly edible food by companies.  Donate Don’t Dump goes hand in hand with her award winning documentary, “One in Seven, The New Face of Hunger.”  The film, written by Posard, focuses on poverty and hunger issues in San Diego County.

“Winning an award for our documentary at the Sacramento Film Festival was great, but I am happier there is a growing awareness for our country’s hunger problems,” Posard said.

When not involved with broadcasting and filmmaking, Posard spends the majority of her time doing the one activity she loves the most—dancing.  Last February, she helped lead the Lancer Dancers to a first place finish for their hip hop routine at the National Dance Team Championships in Orlando, Florida.  Winning the coveted ‘white jacket’ is the main goal of any varsity team across the country.

“Winning at Nationals was a Cinderella story for our team since we had a new coach and only four returners from last year’s team,” Posard said.  “Our goal this year is to go out and defend our title.”
