On January 12, 2022 a new Shake Shack location opened in Carlsbad. The new Carlsbad Shake Shack is the fifth location in San Diego, and this new site is located at 7740 El Camino Real.

Shake Shack is new to Carlsbad, and many local teenagers have already taken the opportunity to visit the new location. Sophomores Ava Fletcher, and Haylie Bonner, have already visited the new location since the grand opening .

“My favorite item to order at Shake Shack would be their cheeseburger with avocado,” Fletcher said. “ I would totally recommend this to anyone that is wanting to try something new on their burgers because it is a subtle but amazing addition. ”.

Shake Shack is an American fast food restaurant chain that started in New York City. They have a wide variety of food and drink items on the menu including burgers, fries, and shakes.

“I’m a very picky eater and I don’t eat much,” Bonner said. “So my favorite item to order at Shake Shack would be the grilled cheese, and I would 10/10 recommend it.”

Instead of ordering at a cashier booth, Shake Shack has adopted a new way of taking and placing orders in-store. When you walk in the door you are greeted by a worker, and then you have the opportunity to use the kiosks, which brings the attention of many new visitors.

“I have been to the restaurant about five times since it opened and my favorite thing about it is the efficiency,” Fletcher said. “Everything gets done very quickly and in an organized fashion.”

Along with the efficiency of the restaurant, students are very excited about how close the new location is to them. Now they have the opportunity to visit Shake Shack more often.

“I’m most excited that I now have a Shake Shack closer to where I live and I can go there more often,” Bonner said. “The other locations are a bit further away and it was less convenient to go there.”
