The 2025 Record Store Day Black Friday list dropped this past month, introducing new vinyl variants, live covers and anniversary reissues from popular artists that will be available this Black Friday, November 28th. The list features 178 limited releases that are only available to purchase in-store or online from indie retailers. A majority of the releases come in quantities of 5,000 or less, leading to a higher demand and more competition to secure a copy. Here are some of the most anticipated releases this Thanksgiving season.

Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye) - Role Model
Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye) – Role Model

This pressing of Role Model’s sophomore album will feature three new versions of tracks: “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out” and “Some Protector” live from Vevo, and an acoustic cover of “Deeply Still In Love.” While the album has been pressed on vinyl before, this is the first time it has been released in a forest green variant and as a limited edition. This pressing is a Record Store Day exclusive (limited to 3,000 copies) and is Role Model’s first RSD release.

The Subway and The Giver - Chappell Roan

This 7-inch vinyl features two of Chappell Roan’s latest singles into one pressing. While both of the singles have been pressed multiple times (“The Subway” has two variants, “The Giver” has five), this will be the first iteration with both of the songs combined. The variant is labeled as ‘lavender daydream,’ featuring a sparkly dark and light purple marble. The vinyl is limited to 30,000 copies and is a RSD exclusive.

I Love It - Icona Pop (feat. Charli xcx)

Record Store Day isn’t just for new releases; there are several older songs and albums receiving new pressings this Black Friday. An example of this is the Billboard chart topping single, “I Love It,” by Icona Pop and Charli xcx. The 12” one-sided vinyl comes pressed on glow-in-the-dark vinyl with 4,400 copies. Although the single was originally released and popularized in 2012, the song has seen a recent resurgence following Charli xcx’s latest album, “brat,” and her associated 2024 North American tour with artist Troye Sivan.

Live - Billie Eilish

After the success of her third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” Eilish’s newest RSD release features new versions of several of the new tracks. Her newest vinyl, simply titled “Live,” is a 10-inch pressing of four songs performed through Amazon Music’s Songline series. While the original Songline session was recorded in the summer of 2024, this record is its first physical release. It is limited to 20,000 copies and is labeled as a “RSD First” release, meaning it can be released to retailers other than indie record stores in the future.

Actual Life 1, 2, and 3 Piano Live Sessions - Fred Again...
Actual Life 1, 2, and 3 Piano Live Sessions – Fred Again…

London-based DJ Fred Again… will have his first-ever round of RSD releases with pressings of live sessions of his first three albums, Actual Life 1, 2 and 3. The albums are based on samples from his personal life, such as voice memos, social media clips and music from other artists. The project began in 2019 and lasted until 2022. Each album will have 5,000 copies pressed on magnolia-colored vinyl.
