Hiking Potato Chip Rock

A family hikes down the mountain after seeing the famous rock. Although the hike is difficult people of all ages can complete the hike.

Potato Chip Rock is located in Ramona, California and is about an hour drive to reach from Carlsbad. The trail is famous for a rock that is almost floating on air at the top of the mountain. This has made Potato Chip Rock a popular photo destination and hike. The hike climbs to an elevation of 2800 ft and has trails in varying lengths.
