What to expect this Red Ribbon Week

A crashed car due to alcohol or drug abuse is placed on campus to be a constant reminder of how important it is to be responsible of your actions. Starting Monday, Oct. 24, Carlsbad High School celebrates Red Ribbon Week through the use of spirit days to spread awareness.

This week marks the annual celebration of Red Ribbon Week. Red ribbon week is a national event to get students across America informed about the effects of drugs and alcohol. Here at CHS students are partaking in this week through various spirit days put together by ASB. Here is a look at this weeks spirt days to help keep you updated throughout  the week.

To start off the week, Monday’s theme is to wear red to support what Red Ribbon Week is all about. Whether it’s a hat, pants or everything in between, make sure to show up in red to represent a good cause.

On Tuesday make sure to get out you red white and blue because it’s America day. Dig out that shirt you wear every forth of July and come and support the land of the free.

On Wednesday, simply role out of bed and head to class because it’s Pajama day. Come in your coziest clothes, and celebrate this hump day in comfort.

On Thursday make sure you and your BFF/squad show up in style because it’s twin day. Pull out those group chats and make sure to plan your perfect twin outfit.

Friday marks not only the final spirt day, but the pinkest. Make sure to pick up your spirt shirt for pink out day at the ASB room for $10. If you can’t buy the shirt, make sure to come out in any pink to support breast cancer awareness and the pink out game.
