Senior Elijah Shepherd stands tall as the powder is thrown at the U.S.A. game. Carlsbad High ended up winning the game against Vista, securing a spot in CIF open devision.
Senior Elijah Shepherd poses with his arms out as the powder flies. Students watching the game were given red, blue and white powder to throw, due to the patriotic theme of the game. Shepherd, a loud crowd leader, was at the center of the chaos even caught performing a dance from the movie “Joker” during the game. “When I get up there and my moves start rolling I feel like Joaquin Phoenix,” said Shepherd.
