On Tues., March 7, the Lancer baseball team improved to a 2-0 record with a 10-2 win over Del Norte.
Slater Lee, fresh off a win from Saturday’s opener versus Point Loma, pitched three hitless innings to earn his second win of the season.
“It felt good to come away with the win. We played well and imposed our will against them,” senior left-fielder Ryan Black said.
Juniors Nick Anderson and Nathan Mann were the main offense for the Lancers. Anderson was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, while Mann contributed by going 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. The sixth inning, where they scored four runs, was the most potent for the Lancers.
“Our younger players have really stepped up. It should be a really good year and I think we’ll go far,” senior second baseman Austin Avan said.
The Lancers looked great from a defensive aspect as well—they went the whole game without an error.
