Choir prepares to rock the Holiday Showcase
Now that the winter spirit is in full swing, anticipation for the renowned holiday favorites grow. Just the thought of rainy days, hot chocolate and the classic melodic holiday tunes get most students excited. This year, Choir is kicking off the winter with a full performance of singing sure to bring spirit to all.
“The show is going to be so great because their are so many amazing singers performing together,” freshman Whitney Drucker said. ” All of the choir students will be performing including Sound Express, Chambers Singers, Encore and Lancer Choir, so everyone should come to support choir. This is my first year doing the show and I can’t wait to sing in it.”
Choir students have began to practice for their audition group and solo performances. Each performer has to find how they fit well in their group, and work well as a team.
“Their will be several collabrative performances, plus individual performances from each group,” says choir teacher Mr. Bullock. “The show will include several holiday songs like Jingle Bell Rock, and songs that have nothing to do with the holiday. We are going to keep the tradition of CHS choir alive by ending the show with the Hallelujah song.”
Spreading holiday cheer from year to year, the winter choir show has become a landmark for the holiday season here at CHS.
“Every year there is always a great performance,” said sophomore Miranda Tomeneng. “The show is always full of fun skits and amazing singing. I had a great time last year and I am really happy we are performing again.”
