Teens are constantly changing especially when it comes to how they decorate their bedroom. To save money, read these quick tips to give your room a new look without paying the price for it.
1. Start Fresh
Start out by taking down all of the knickknacks around your room and all six posters of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift . This will give you a blank page to visualize what you want to do with the space.
2. Be Organized
Hide the ugly stuff! Get a crate box for less than 20 bucks at Target and pick a basic color so it does not stand out but still looks nice.If that is still steep for your budget, organize in cardboard boxes and hide them under the bed.
3. Keep it together
A good investment is spray paint. Picking a basic color like white or black makes it easier to make the room look put together. Mixed furniture colors is hard to work with. With basic colored furniture, it’s easy to give a room completely different looks over and over again.
4. Balance Solids and Patterns
All the different prints and colors can start to make your head hurt.Buy a few solid and pattern throw pillows or a rug to pull the room together. Try to find a solid base color.
5. Be the artist!
Paint or wallpaper can be expensive so instead make your own artwork or collage on poster boards around your room. If you are not so gifted in arts, get some friends together to splatter paint canvas boards to hang on your walls. For canvas, look for bargain deals at places like Target and Wal-Mart.
6. Finishing Touches
To help organize your rooms, get a cork board; if the dull pattern isn’t so stylish, cover it with the material from an old pair of jeans or t-shirt to spice it up. Putting pictures of your friends and that to-do list on a cork board will make it look like a collage.
No matter what your style is, it is easy to save massive amounts of money.
