Trevor Yerton, 12
Trevor Yerton goes to room 3213 for Mr. Dearie’s AP government class. He loves the tight-knit community of Carlsbad and shows it with his involvement in many school programs. He launched the armory program, participates in PLUS and speech and debate and manages the track and field team.
“It’s really nice to be able to talk to anyone you need to because we’re such a community,” senior Trevor Yerton said.
Trevor plans to study at an ROTC (reserved officer training corps) host school to become an electrical and mechanical engineer for the air force.
“It’s a good deal because I can enlist while they pay for my education and I’ll be active straight out of college,” Yerton said.
