Schools around county offer free lunches to students

Where to find free school lunches during school closures

One of the biggest questions surrounding school closures due to COVID-19 has been what will happen to free school lunches for lower income families. According to the San Diego Food Bank, approximately one in five children in San Diego face food insecurity. To avoid exacerbating existing problems with child hunger, districts across the county are offering midday food service to any student between the ages of two and 18. San Diego County students can receive these lunches at any school that offers them. Participating schools in north county will be listed below. The San Diego County Office of Education has a complete list of all county schools offering food service, which will be updated as information changes.
