With these current circumstances created by COVID-19, it seems as if most people are bored all the time, and as most people know, boredom usually results in hunger. These long and lazy days usually lead to unhealthy eating habits, habits that can be easily avoided with easy-to-make and healthy foods.

Fruit Bowl

Sure, this sounds basic, but it is the perfect snack. Packed with nutrients and vitamins, a bowl of your favorite fruits can fill you up until your next meal. If you are feeling as if you want your bowl to be a bit sweeter, just top it with honey, or even better; agave.

With the arrival of springtime and warm weather comes the harvest of many fruits. Grapefruit, pineapple, apricots, navel oranges and strawberries are just a few of the perfectly ripe and ready to eat fruit from around this time of the year.

This bread-free alternative is a perfect go-to. Fill a half of a bell pepper with sprouts, lettuce, and other delicious vegetables and you will have a healthy, colorful and delicious snack or meal. If you are in the mood for a bit more of a flavor variation, add humus. Switching bread to a more nourishing alternative will be sure to make you and your stomach happy.

Cinnamon Sugar Dried Apples

This addicting snack will be sure to leave you satisfied. Simply slice apples into thin pieces, place them on a cookie tray and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Let them cook for about an hour and a half on 250 degree heat and enjoy!

A snack like this is perfect because of its versatility, as it can be eaten fresh or saved in a tupperware. This recipe can be made in quantities as large as you please and can last for a few days if kept in a proper container. Whenever you feel hungry for a snack, you can grab your apple chips from the pantry, rather than a Pop Tart or Cheetos.
