There is an array of benefits that being a part of the journalism community can provide to a student. From the friends and connections that you will create within your career to the portfolio of great journalistic pieces that will be published to your peers, there are countless positive reasons to join, but listed above are the seven most important points that one should take into account while considering taking journalism as an elective in the future.
