On Jan. 18, the girls varsity soccer team took on RBV at home. During the first half, junior Cindy Garcia scored the first goal for Carlsbad. Later in the half, RBV scored a goal and by half time made the score 1-1.
After an encouraging talk over half time, the lady lancers continued to fight hard against RBV. Sophomore Summer Mason scored another goal for CHS on a breakaway. Another successful goal off of a corner kick from Cindy Garcia brought the score to 3-1. The girls played an effective defense and held RBV off leaving the final score as 3-1.
