The Batiquitos Lagoon is located on the boarder of Carlsbad and Encinitas. This 3.25 mile trail boarders the lagoon which contains many species of birds and other wildlife. The trail is equipped with many benches and informational plaques along the way.  The lagoon also has a visitor center that contains information about the wildlife and natives that previously lived there. This trail is almost completely flat and perfect for just about anyone who wants to experience some nature that Carlsbad has to offer.
