As an active swimmer since the age of seven, sophomore Elise Wright continues her passion for her second year on the Varsity swim team. LL sat down with Elise to learn more about her natural athletic talent.

Lancer Link: How long have you been on Varsity?

Elise Wright: “Since my freshman year and now I’m on it for my sophomore year.”

LL: How long have you been swimming competitively?

EW: “Since I was seven years old.”

LL: What got you into swimming?

EW: “My friends got me into it, so I started swimming for a club team called NCA.”

LL:  Although it’s early to ask, do you plan on swimming in college?

EW: “Yeah, I plan to swim in college, hopefully, at either UCLA or Santa Barbara.”

LL:  Do you have any future goals regarding swimming?

EW: “Yeah, I want to keep swimming so I can get a good scholarship for school.”
