Playing center for varsity, senior Michael Clementi has been an integral part of the basketball program since his freshman year. LL sat down with Michael to get the scoop on his basketball background.

Lancer Link: How long have you been playing basketball?

Michael Clementi: I’ve been playing for seven years.

LL: Did anything inspire you to start playing?

MC: I read Michael Jordan’s biography when I was younger and that was a big part of it.

LL: Do you play any other sports?

MC: No, I used to play football and baseball but I just picked to play basketball.

LL: Why did you choose basketball out of all the other sports?

MC: Because I was too heavy for football, baseball bored me and basketball was the most exciting.

LL: Do you think you will continue playing basketball after high school?

MC: Yeah, I definitely will. Not for the college I attend, but with my friends just to stay in shape.

LL: Has the team had any great accomplishments this year?

MC: We beat the #4 team in the county so that was a big win for all of us.
