Sophomore Alana Uriell has been on the varsity golf team since her freshman year. Recently, Alana tied for third in the Regional competition before heading off to the State Championships.
Lancer Link: How long have you been golfing?
Alana Uriell: I have been golfing for about seven years now.
LL: Do you play any other sports other than golf?
AU: No, not really.
LL: Why did you choose to play golf?
AU: My mom got me into it to me after I stopped cross country
LL: How do you feel about being on the varsity team as a sophomore?
AU: It’s great. I’ve been on the team since I was a freshman it’s nice to see that all my hard work pays off.
LL: How did it feel to make it to state?
AU: It was amazing. I felt really accomplished
LL: What is your inspiration to play golf?
AU: My mom motivated me the entire time
