Grace McGinty

Grace McGinty, Sports Editor

Grace was on staff last year as a writer and is Sports Editor this year for the Lancer Link. She is captain of the lacrosse team and is looking forward to playing lacrosse at San Diego State in 2015. Grace spends her free time collecting wild berries and writing raps for her mix tape coming out in the spring. She is a three-year interpretive dance team member and MVP of an underground acapella group rooted out of Calabasas, CA called "Hoodrats of the Treble."

On Feb. 12, Carlsbad suffered a tragic loss with the death of Vinnie Zellefrow in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Pacific Coast Highway. The driver was a 17-year-old Carlsbad girl who was arrested later that evening. A memorial at the crash site commemorates Zellefrows life as a lively Carlsbad graduate, decorated with notes and momentos from loved ones.
