Disney Club brings magic to CHS

There is a popular conception that one can never be too old for Disney. Over their 60 years in business, Disney has become loved by people in any generation. As a two-week-old club on campus, Disney Club already offers a place for everyone and even has plans for the upcoming new year.

“I’ve loved Disney since I was a really little kid,” junior and club president Caitlin Flanagan said. “I wanted a place for people who love Disney to be able to come to just watch Disney movies and have a fun time during lunch.”

Anyone on campus is welcome to join, the only request being that you have a love for all things Disney.

“I’m excited to find people who love Disney because surprisingly not too many people I’ve talked to have a passion for Disney like I do,” junior and club vice president Amayah Davis said. “I’m most excited to meet people who do.”

Although it is a newer club on campus, the club administrators already have many magical ideas. As for upcoming events, a club trip to Disneyland is in the works.

“There’s a possible trip to Disneyland so that’s definitely a motivator,” senior Emily Yerton said. “I chose to join Disney club because I’m crazy about Disney so I thought it would be a good place to get together with people who enjoy the same thing to have a good, magical time.”

Disney Club meets every Thursday in room 5002: the club advisor Mrs. Hall’s room. It is open for any students who wish to share their love of Disney with other students.

“Disney Club represents a loving community, it’s a safe place on campus,” Davis said.
