Carlsbad played long time rival Torrey Pines winning with the score 14-16 in the fifth set. During this game Carlsbad celebrated senior night honoring their graduating players. “Coming into the gamer we had nothing to lose and beating the #3 team in he action on senior night really gave us more confidence going into playoffs. Also Torrey’s middles just weren’t nice.” senior Duke Paane said.
