At halftime of Friday night’s basketball, cheer performed their routine on mats. Recently, the cheerleaders were told they couldn’t tumble during their routines on the wooden gym floor, but not wanting to sacrifice what they’d worked hard on, they compromised with the mats.

Jessica Streich is a senior at Carlsbad High School and a photographer for the Lancer Link. She enjoys dance and theatre, and is constantly involved in onstage productions. Next year she wants to begin her college career in Communications and is so excited for making memories during her last year in Carlsbad.
Danny Tajimaroa, Photography Editor
Danny Tajimaroa is a senior and photo editor this year at Carlsbad High. She is on the varsity tennis team, a member of the PLUS team, and vice president of French club. Outside of school she enjoys hanging out with friends and family as well as baking and walking her beloved dog, Jazz. Her taste in music ranges from Frank Sinatra to Arctic Monkeys and Phoenix. Some of her favorite movies include Anchorman, Legally Blonde, and the 40 Year-old Virgin. She hopes to attend USD or Chapman University and study international relations.
