The “Arrow” joins ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ sequel

‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell has joined the sequel to 2014’s ‘TMNT’ with the working title of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half Shell.’ Amell will play Casey Jones and will be his first major role in a film. Also joining the cast is model Alessandra Ambrosio. The sequel looks to surf into theaters 2016. Cowabunga, dude.

Don’t worry Slater, ‘Deadpool’ will be “R”

In an epic April fools joke, Ryan Reynolds and Mario Lopez took the opportunity to address the buzz surrounding ‘Deadpool’ and the rating it would receive. Reynolds does make an appearance in the suit, but it’s probably best if you just watch it here. No seriously, watch it. Now.

Eastwood, Hill and DiCaaprio set to team up?

‘American Sniper’ director Clint Eastwood is circling a film about the 1996 bombing at the Olympics. Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio are also in talks to star. The film will be based on the chronicled events by  Marie Brenner’s Vanity Fair article “The Ballad Of Richard Jewell.”

‘Furious 7’ races to tremendous start

‘Furious 7’ opened up to an absurd $15.8 million on Thursday night showings. Predictions for the overall in take for the film are ranging from $106-$115 million but could very well race to a $150 million dollar weekend. The movie stars Vin Diesel, the late Paul Walker, Jason Statham and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

‘Vacation’ is coming early this year

A sequel to the classic 1983 ‘Vacation’ and ‘Christmas Vacation’ starring ‘Hangover’ star Ed Helms as Rusty Griswold. Rusty takes his family on a trip to the famous “Wally World” early as the original date was set for late 2015 but was moved to July 31.

‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ sequels already planned

In a recent interview, Tom Hardy had mentioned that sequels to ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ are already being planned. In addition, Hardy has signed on for 3 films, but won’t necessarily play a role in all as the contract could be as a safety net for the studio.
